L’Abarset in Andorra – becoming the best après-ski in Europe?
L’Abarset located in Grandvalira, Andorra now features a unique experience combining leisure, music, and exquisite gastronomy. No wonder — they are aiming to become the best après-ski in Europe! David Alayeto (Dream Up Design) designed the new place, which blends in with the landscape and brings a fantastic view of the Andorran mountains right into the venue.
Best après-ski in Europe opening soon?
The old L’Abarset closed in March 2020 after nine years of partying. The new venue however will be opened this winter season 2021–2022 as one of the biggest highlights in Andorra. And it doesn’t end there. Grandvalira’s popular leisure and restaurant venue is aiming to become the best après-ski in Europe. This goal can be achieved by preserving the spirit of the former L’Abarset and combining it with a new music and leisure concept. Furthermore, the venue has decided to offer food and music all year round. Hence, visitors will be able to enjoy live music, DJs, or special dinners during the summer. It will be open to locals and tourists from all over the world — A must for anyone visiting Andorra.
The architecture of L’Abarset
The architecture of the new building of L’Abarset lights up with elegance and beauty. It is located next to the El Tarter Gondola being one of the main meeting points for après-ski in Andorra. The venue will be open from 4 pm to 9 pm. There will be a new VIP area with a capacity for 80 people and a nerve centre for business tourists.
The design from David Alayeto features the beauty of the mountains and offers privileged views. He used natural materials that generate a warm and modern environment. The 2,000 square metre area includes two floors and a 700 square metre terrace. Unique furniture, organic shapes and beautiful lighting from the ceiling and walls provide a welcoming atmosphere. Fireplaces simulating bonfires create a sense of intimacy and warmth, which is perfect to relax after a fun day of skiing.
